Here at Stamford Juice Company we believe that our apple juice should taste only of apple - with nothing added and nothing taken away. "Liquid Apple" we call it.
All of our apples are hand picked in local orchards, then crushed and pressed in the traditional fashion before being poured into bottles and pasteurised.
Because we use different varieties as they become avaiable, you may notice some difference in taste between bottles as the blend changes, we hope you like all the various tastes.
Usually we take a single variety and bottle it, although sometimes we will blend juices to get a good taste. We always name the varieties we use on the bottle, and we try to give an indication here on the website of what each bottling tastes like.
You may not have heard of some varieties, and we think that part of our business is to find these rare and out of favour apple varieties and bring them to you. We also pay a fair rate for our apples, so that the orchards can receive the investment they need and this helps preserve the varieties for future generations.
NEWS! You may have heard BBC Radio 4's Today programme broadcasting from David Wheatley's orchard in Cambridgeshire.
Stamford Juice Company uses ONLY David's apples, which are pressed and bottled on farm - zero food miles!
You can buy the juice at any of our stockists, or from us directly at apple days in the area.
